The tough stop-motion practicum is finally almost over, and I’m savoring the feeling of having cleared a hurdle.
Shooting frame by frame with the tension of not being able to redo anything, I feel I discovered all sorts of new perspectives by doing stop-motion.
During group work, we took turns playing our favorite music on YouTube, went out for ramen and okonomiyaki saying “I don’t want to go back to the studio…,” and put a tripod on our heads. It was fun.
I have to finish the 2D animation assignment in the one week left, so I’m working furiously at home, but being able to relax at home for the first time in a while makes me incredibly happy.

今日は休みだったので近所を少しさまよいました。
DVDを3本借りて、そのうちの一本『あの夏、いちばん静かな海。』を観たのですが、切なくてしばらく余韻が残りました。みかん女がむかつくけど悲しかったです。
最近、前に変態アニメーションナイトで知ったピーター・ミラードの作品を見ているのですが、最初は「？」という感じでしたが行き詰まっている時に見ると、理屈じゃなく爆発してる感じがすごいなと思いました。一生あの作風で行くという覚悟も、なんだかすごい・・・。
